IP takedown · DMCA notice

For HYBE, SM, JYP, YG, KQ, Starship, and other rights holders: how to request removal of any image, branding, or copyrighted material from kpopdropz.

Who this is for

This page is the dedicated channel for agencies, labels, artists, photographers, and other copyright or trademark holders who want content removed from kpopdropz.com. If you are a reader reporting a counterfeit listing or a factual error, please email contact@kpopdropz.com instead — that is a separate workflow.

How to file a takedown

Email legal@kpopdropz.com with the subject line "Takedown — [your group or company]" and include the following information so we can act quickly without a back-and-forth:

  • The exact URL(s) on kpopdropz.com where the content appears. Multiple URLs are fine in one email.
  • A description or URL of the original work, photo, logo, or trademark you hold rights to, so we can match the asset.
  • Your name, organization, role, and direct contact information. For agencies and labels, a corporate email helps us verify the request faster than a personal account.
  • A good-faith statement that you believe the contested use is not authorized by the rights holder, agent, or applicable law.
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Our response time

We act within seventy-two hours of receiving a complete notice, and usually within twenty-four. Our default posture is "remove first, discuss second": if the request looks substantively valid, we will pull the asset before a deeper review, then follow up. If we need clarification we will say so within the same seventy-two-hour window.

After removal

Once content is removed, we replace it with a neutral placeholder or a generic description so links to the page do not break. The removed asset is not republished from cache, and any related automated pipelines (RSS curation, catalog research) are configured so the same item is not re-introduced unless the source becomes officially authorized.

Counter-notice

If you posted or contributed something that was taken down and you believe the takedown was made in error or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Counter-notices must include your contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and consent to the jurisdiction described in our Terms of service.

Repeat infringer policy

We do not host user uploads today, but contributors who repeatedly submit material that triggers valid takedowns will be removed from the contribution pipeline. The same standard applies internally to our editors and automated pipelines.

Trademark and brand-identity claims

In addition to copyright takedowns, this channel handles trademark and brand-identity issues — agency logos, group wordmarks, member stage names, and product branding such as Weverse Shop, Lucky Draw, or limited-edition labelling. Trademark notices follow the same procedure: send the registration number or the publicly verifiable evidence of the mark, the specific URL where it appears, and the requested remedy. Where the use is editorial and non-commercial (news coverage, biographical reference, fair description of an album version), we may decline removal while offering to add a clarifying note instead. Repeated trademark issues from the same source trigger an internal review of the data pipeline.
